One thing I've discovered Savannah lacks compared to NY is good shopping, especially Loehmanns. This is a HUGE void, as this store that was a major contributor to mine & Katie's wardrobe–yes singular wardrobe since we pretty much shared everything. Shopping options down here are either TJ Maxx/Marshalls or over-priced designer boutiques. There's no Forever 21…no H&M…no Urban Outfitters …definitely no Loehmanns.
How am I supposed to be myself if I no longer have access to the clothes which helped me express my personality??? The answer was Loehmanns online - http://www.smartbargains.com. I hopped online and spent what felt like way too much money–until I played our infamous "how much I would have spent" game. In this case, I would have spent $440 paying full price, but my actual total was $118! woo hoo! Doesn't seem like too much anymore, does it? Especially considering what I bought–Joie skinny pants, Industry capris and two designer dresses. To make it even more satisfying, the clothes arrived complete with those colorful, 0h-so-familiar Loehmann's tags to make me feel like I actually bought them at the store. The only thing missing was my shopping buddy :)
PS- smartbargains.com is actually cheaper than Loehmanns. I paid quite a bit less than what's shown on the Loehmann's tag.
